Meet Your Instructor
Ray Schnurr brings over 25 years of professional composing and orchestrating experience—and more than 20 years of teaching—to every lesson he teaches. A graduate of Palm Beach Atlantic University with a degree in Music Theory and Composition, Ray has written for major studios like Disney, Sony, and Warner Bros, contributing to film and TV projects including the Matrix Trilogy, Home for the Holidays, and The Amazing Race. His orchestral arrangements have been performed by leading orchestras like the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Baltimore Symphony, and Florida Symphony Orchestra. In addition, Ray has composed numerous solo piano works designed especially for beginning and intermediate players.
